a highly recommended file manager which looks and acts a lot like the original norton commander, for those that remember it!

what a waste of programming.by the way, its so obvious that the first post was from the developer, who is apparently russian according to the domain whois. this would explain the broken english. get real.

i had a bad experience with kaspersky. i did a trial download of their 2010 version, liked it well enough, and bought a seven-user 2009 package, retail. when i went to activate it, my keyboard was blocked and i was unable to enter the key code. i tried another keyboard, same thing. so, kaspersky took control of my keyboard / pc, so that i could not use my valid key code, leaving only the option to buy the license online, from their site (giving them my credit card number, too, of course). not cool! the retail package i bought was sealed and never used, completely legal. kaspersky could not have known if it was or wasn't, anyway, since i never got to enter the key code. point being that i should have been perfectly able / allowed to register a new, retail product. having already downloaded the trial is what got me. even though i uninstalled it and restarted the pc, there is still a counter on my computer, telling the days remaining on my "trial" period. this is complete bull! my next question is, that if they are doing something this unethical (in my opinion, it is), then what else are they doing with access to my pc?

brilliant piece of software. it's getting that all the best software lately is freeware/donation-ware. great stuff.qq, have you ever visited the planet earth?

fantastic utility and now indispensable. however, not totally stable under windows 8: dragging notes to one side can cause them to simply disappear off screen and need rescuing. even when not touched they may disappear. shouldn't have to run a rescue as routine.

i have this installed on several machines now, and it is working fine. i haven't seen any slowdown's on connecting, at least once i edited up and saved a profile for the connect. i'd like to use the authentication, but i think that's got to wait for vista, or perhaps it's in server 2003? neither of which i'm running.mjm: have you gotten the 32bit color to work? this is the feature i'm most interested in, as i have an application i want to serve from one machine, to the machine i'm remoting from, which requires 32bit color, but i can't get it to work. the video card is an older nvidia one (5x series), and i'm wondering if that's part of the problem, or if there is any way to force 32bit.i have updated both machines with v6, and it still drops back to 16 bit. could it be a problem with the 1600x1280 screen size?i'm at a loss.

the best norton commander clone file manager on the windows platform, in the world of file managers many paradigms have emerged but the classic orthodox dual panel display still reigns king for speed and ease, far is above and beyond in the orthodox category with its configurability, speed and vast array of plugins that extend the program to beyond like an internal ftp client, email client, process explorer, audio player, remote control etc etc... if you're a keyboard user and missed the good old days of norton commander, far is simply a godsend. in my opinion nothing beats file management through the use of a keyboard and a classic dual panel file manager like far and total commander.very highly recommended.
